Nancy Reyes, Manager Institutional Services, Parnassus Investments

Nancy joined Parnassus Investments in 2005. She oversees communications with institutional investors such as investment advisors, charitable organizations, and family offices. Nancy has over ten years of experience in the field of socially responsible investing and travels extensively, presenting to investors, universities, and professional organizations. Prior to joining Parnassus, Nancy led the client service & marketing group at SKBA Capital Management LLC. Nancy recieved a BA in Economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She serves on the Board of Directors for Spark, a nonprofit organization that addresses social, political, and economic issues by working with grassroots women's groups worldwide, and is an active member of the Financial Women's Association in San Fransisco and the Bay Area Social Investment Forum.

 

Andrea Reichert, Research Analyst, Parnassus Investments

Andrea joined Parnassus Investments in 2006.  She specializes in integrating social, environmental and governance research in to the investment process.  Prior to Parnassus, she worked for Aragon Ventures, a boutique, early-stage venture capital firm, and End Poverty, a grant-maker focused on opening capital markets to microfinance as a sustainable means of global economic development. Andrea was a Parnassus Research Intern in 2005 and received her Bachelor's degree in English from Colorado State University.


Richard Whiteford is a dedicated environmental writer and activist who has written over 500 articles and a book entitled Wild Pennsylvania (ISBN # 0-760-32638-X). Mr. Whiteford has worked on numerous causes, including land perservation, halting Mountaintop Removal Coal Mining, and the prevention of drilling for oil in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, and was a consultant to Pennsylvania's 21st Century Environmental Comission. Mr. Whiteford is also a founding board member of the Pennsylvania Biodiversity Partnership.

Center for Environmental Policy



The goals of the Center for Environmental Policy (CEP) at The Academy of Natural Sciences are to evaluate key issues of environmental policy, facilitate dialogues and decision-making on environmental topics, and inform the public from both an academic as well as practical perspective.  The CEP will answer the need for a non-partisan, science-based organization that is capable of accessing and guiding a myriad of public and private stakeholders.
